Early in 2015, Talisker Skyenamed after the stunning island where the distillery is locatedwas released. The flavour profile of this expression is more well-rounded and sweet, with notes of sweet smoke, peppery spice, crisp citrus, and classic maritime Talisker characteristics. American oak barrels, mostly toasted, are used to mature Talisker Skye, with a somewhat larger percentage of toasted casks. While Talisker lovers will undoubtedly love it as well, Talisker Skye whisky is ideal for individuals who might find the traditional Talisker flavour profile a little too overwhelming.
