A marriage of whiskies made from two distinct varieties of malted barleya single estate Cadboll kind and malted chocolate barley, which is more commonly used as a base for craft beerswas used to create this excellent Glenmorangie.Entire 16-man distilling team known as the ‘Sixteen Men of Tain’ distilled the Signet twice through Glenmorangie’s copper-pot stills. Then, it was allowed to age in custom American virgin oak barrels for a full year before being bottled at 46% ABV without the use of chill filtering.This Highland single malt has no age statement, but it is believed to contain a portion of the distillery’s rarest and oldest stocks, which date back 35 to 40 years.
