Master blender Jim Beveridge created the multi-award-winning Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve to honour nearly 200 years of the art of blendinglots of gold medals, suitably. Made from whiskies from Speyside, Islay, the Highlands, and the Lowlands, the Gold Label Reserve was reintroduced in 2012 to replace the well-liked Gold Label 18.Clynelish single malt whisky forms the foundation of this blend, which also includes grain whisky from Cameronbridge, Blair Athol, and Cardhu, all of which were picked for their honeyed, sweet flavours. It tastes great straight but also blends nicely into other dishes, like the custom Gold & Apple made just for this blend (recipe below).
