Originally scheduled for delivery in 2022, the Montecristo Edmundo Reserva is the ninth release in the Reserva series, having begun with the Cohiba Reserva Selecci�n in 2003. Additionally, after the Montecristo No. 4 in 2007, this is the second time that Montecristo has been chosen to produce a Reserva. Presenting these exceptional cigars are numbered deluxe bo�te nature boxes with twenty cigars inside, each adorned with a second silver and black Reserva band. For the global market, only 5,000 numbered boxes (or 100,000 cigars) have been made, and all of the tobaccos used in their production have aged in bales for three years before being rolled. This time, tobacco of the Montecristo Edmundo Reserva has been made exclusively using tobacco from the 2018 harvest (cosecha). The Edmundo Reserva has been mixed to have the traditional medium-to-full-bodied Montecristo flavour, which is often regarded as the standard by which other Havanas are judged. Since its founding in 1935, Montecristo has grown to become the most well-known Habanos brand worldwide. The Montecristo No. 4 is among the best-selling Havana cigars in the UK. Following the debut of the 5 1/3″ (135mm) x 52 ring gauge original Edmundo in 2004, the Petit Edmundo (2006), Double Edmundo (2013), and Wide Edmundo (2021) have all been released. The Grand Edmundo was the moniker given to the Montecristo Edici�n Limitada (a Ca�onazo size) in 2010. The protagonist of Alexandre Dumas’s book The Count of Montecristo, Edmundo Dantes, served as the model for the name Edmundo.
