The Plasencia tobacco dynasty was founded by Eduardo Plasencia. The Plasencia tobacco tradition began in 1865 when he moved to Cuba from the Canary Islands and began cultivating tobacco. It was decided to make a vitola in honour of Eduardo I, the fifth generation of the Plasencia tobacco family. The Colorado Claro wrapper, which is sourced from the extensive tobacco library of Plasencia, was aged for more than ten years, making smoking it more enjoyable.
