Description
What happens if you age a Campbeltown single malt from Glen Scotia Distillery in bourbon barrels and then age it further in first-fill Guyanese Demerara rum barrels? What you receive is this delicious treat. The idea behind this is “double the cask, double the flavour,” but there’s historical precedent for this procedure as well. Records kept by Glen Scotia date back to 1815, a year before the distillery was established, and they document the presence of rum barrels for sale in the town.
