Description
In 1974, Quai d’Orsay was founded for the French market. The brand is named after the avenue in Paris by the Seine that once housed the headquarters of SEITA, the French government-owned tobacco importer at the time. SEITA and Cubatabaco (now Habanos s.a.) collaborated to create a sophisticated Cuban brand with a distinct flair.
The Quai d’Orsay No. 52 was unveiled in 2022 at a spectacular evening in one of Paris’ most iconic locations. The chosen structure ignored well-known French landmarks like the National Assembly, the Eiffel Tower, and, of course, the well-known Quai d’Orsay Avenue. The No. 52 was called after the vitola’s ring gauge, which is printed on the band that adorns each cigar, just like its two siblings.
This exquisite, well-balanced, and utterly modern Habanos is categorised as light-bodied.
Before the toasted finish, the woody initial puffs give way to sweeter, chewier notes of nougat, dried fig and raisin, along with a hint of chocolate ganache. Charming and sophisticated. Details:
