Montecristo 520 Limited Edition 2012 House Reserve Aged & Rare Montecristo 90th Anniversary Special Release

Since the late 20th century, we have carefully set aside select boxes of particularly remarkable Havana cigars. While some were released due to market demand, others have remained in our warehouse, ageing under ideal conditions of temperature and humidity. These exceptional cigars now form the Hunters & Frankau House Reserve collection.

From 2019 onward, small quantities of these rare cigars have been made available in Britain. They are offered either in their original boxes as part of the Aged & Rare line or in specially commissioned humidors under the House Reserve Series 1790.

The Aged & Rare collection features cigars matured for a minimum of ten years in our warehouse. Each box is clearly marked with 10+, 15+, or 20+, indicating the number of years since the cigars were rolled, boxed, and shipped from Cuban factories.

Before release, every cigar is individually inspected, and approved boxes are stamped “Revisado” (Checked). A Release Certificate is affixed to each box, signed by our Warehouse Manager, detailing the cigar’s manufacturing date in Cuba, its release date from House Reserve, and the rarity classification of its contents. Each box also carries an EMS stamp indicating the year it left House Reserve, and if it was cleared from Bond earlier, it bears that year’s stamp as well.

Every individual cigar is adorned with a foot band confirming that it is Aged & Rare and comes from the Hunters & Frankau House Reserve.
